Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Rumors Most Likely To Be True

There are a few primary pieces of evidence for time travel in Tears of the Kingdom ‘s new trailer. One of them is the two different outfits that Link wears, both of which have appeared in past trailers. In the beginning of the new trailer, Link appears to have an improved version of the Champion’s Tunic from BOTW , and is carrying a sword on his back. Later, when he’s shown climbing some roots, he wears a green, one-sleeved outfit, and is carrying a much more primitive-looking wooden cudgel. While different outfits aren’t really hard evidence, they seem to be portrayed with a sense of duality that may indicate that Link wears them in two different time peri

Depending on how deeply time travel is intertwined with Tears of the Kingdom ‘s story, it’s also possible that Link will be traveling back and forth through time. There could be two concurrent stories with their own plot threads in Zelda BOTW 2 , one that takes place in the past and another in the present. Being transported as each story progresses and needing to complete quests to go back and forth doesn’t seem likely given the open-world Zelda format focused on player freedom, and neither does a sudden shift halfway through akin to Ocarina of Time , but it’s possible that players will be able to travel between the past and present at will instead. However, two separate maps — each one a fair bit larger than BOTW ‘s Hyrule due to the floating islands — feels like far too much to be within reason, and small self-contained areas of the past or present akin to BOTW ‘s Shrines don’t seem likely either based on what’s been shown so far. There are certainly other ways this concept could be utilized in BOTW ‘s sequel without ruining its story or gameplay, however, and they may become more apparent as additional information becomes availa

The Tears of the Kingdom trailer doesn’t show much, but there is another two-headed dragon symbol. This one is different from the Ouroboros and is related to Mesoamerican cultures, which could have offered some inspiration to the design of the Zonai ruins in Breath of the Wild . Link pushes open a stone door that has a dragon with two heads meeting at the top instead of two dragons eating each other’s tails. The two-headed dragon symbolizes two things in Mesoamerican culture; first is the power of the earth, but the second is calamit

Tears of the Kingdom’s release date is still months away, but players have plenty of side quests in Breath of the Wild to spend time on until then. Nintendo’s silence on TOTK and the trailers that don’t reveal much information have led to players forming theories about what the next adventure in Hyrule might feature. Since the rumors rely heavily on speculation, it’s possible that none of them will end up being true. However, it seems likely that there will be, at the very least, a connection to Skyward Sword in **The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Traditional Zelda dungeons in Tears of the Kingdom would address one of the criticisms of Breath of the Wild , where the puzzles being spread out and the presence of the Divine Beasts left some players missing the dungeons from previous Zelda games. Dungeons generally have Link complete them so that he obtains a reward at the end that helps him with his quest to save Hyrule, like awakening the Sages in Ocarina of Time and collecting their medallions. The image of seven tears in the TOTK trailer could imply that Link will be heading into more traditional Zelda dungeons to gather those te

The other part of the rumor comes from both the images of Link with a broken Master Sword and the mention in Breath of the Wild that Fi’s spirit is dormant within it. Even if Demise doesn’t make an appearance in Tears of the Kingdom , it seems likely that Fi will. She’s referenced multiple times in BOTW , with her signature sound effect even playing, and she did hope to meet one of Link’s future incarnations. But as one of the safeguards against Demise, it seems more likely that they would both appear in TOTK instead of only one or the other being inclu

Some notable side objectives include finding all 900 Koroks, for which players will receive a thoughtful final Korok Seed from BOTW ‘s Hestu . Players can also finish all 120 shrines to get all the Spirit Orbs and the heart and stamina upgrades, in addition to a special armor set reminiscent of Link’s classic green garb. If players wish to truly dive deep into all of BOTW ‘s side activities, they can make it a mission to master all the minigames such as Gut Check Rock, or the Paraglider course on Eventide Island. There’s also even smaller unmarked objectives such as fully upgrading every armor set, taking pictures of all the creatures and weapons that BOTW has to offer, and cooking every possible rec

Throughout Zelda lore, Hyrule’s royal family has worked to protect the sacred Triforce and uphold the peace and prosperity of the land. However, many attempts to keep the Triforce safe have resulted in inevitable disaster, and the royal family’s decisions often lead to the very fates they struggle to avoid. As long as Hylia continues to reincarnate, it seems that Demise’s malice will indeed curse her and her Chosen Hero throughout the entirety of kingdom of Hyrule’s past , present, and fut
