Prince Sidon is the prince of Zora, the son of King Dorephan, and Mipha’s brother. He not only assisted Link in taking down a Divine Beast that was threatening Zora’s Domain in BOTW , but also was a good friend to the Hylian hero and shared an emotional bond, in part because of Mipha. Sidon heavily grieves his sister’s death and can be caught speaking to her statue, wishing she were there. The quests surrounding the Zora in BOTW focus heavily on her, and Link’s adventure log reveals his feelings for Mipha , though fans had to sift through the Japanese version to get the bigger picture of this. The Hyoi Pear’s use and effect were simple. Link would place the pear on his head, and a seagull would swoop down and eat it. From there, the player would be able to control the seagull until it either took damage, or the player willingly gave up control. While the idea sunds about as silly as Wind Waker ‘s Link playing a theremin , it was quite useful, as the seagull could find treasures and even solve some puzzles. It was an odd item, but one that could have plenty of potential for a second appearance. Yet another possibility for Tears of the Kingdom is that Hyrule will be destroyed outright instead of corrupted. The Malice that’s unleashed at the beginning of the game may cause another event on the scale of the Great Calamity, leaving the land and its people in ruins rather than turned into monsters. Though the landscape seems to be relatively intact in the various trailers, the Malice may only target civilized areas like Zora’s Domain and leave wild ones full of monsters alone. BOTW 2 ‘s transformed skies also may offer a twist on this; it’s possible that Malice will completely cover the surface in a toxic flood, forcing players to flee to the safety of the floating islands.
